MD Samiul Islam

Hi, I'm MD Samiul Islam

I'm a final-year B.Tech Computer Science and Engineering student at Adamas University, a freelance software engineer, and a product builder from India. My primary focus is backend engineering, system architecture, databases, infrastructure, and AI-powered systems.

I like building things end-to-end. That means going beyond writing application code and thinking about APIs, data models, system architecture, deployment, networking, performance, reliability, and how software actually operates in production.

As a freelancer and solopreneur, I've worked on real products and business problems rather than limiting myself to academic projects. I enjoy turning an idea or requirement into a practical product, deploying it, and continuously improving it.

I'm particularly interested in the intersection of backend engineering and AI: LLM applications, AI agents, persistent memory, RAG systems, vector search, data infrastructure, and making these systems practical and reliable.

Engineering Philosophy

I care about understanding the core problem, building practical backend architectures, and learning from how systems operate in the real world.

01.

Understand the Problem First

I prefer understanding the actual problem and user needs before jumping into implementation. The goal is to solve the right problem, not write excess code.

02.

Break Complex Problems Down

When a problem looks complicated, I break it into smaller modular components, understand responsibilities, and solve them incrementally.

03.

Prefer Practical Architecture

I care about scalability and good architecture, but I also value simplicity. Architecture should solve actual constraints without introducing artificial complexity.

04.

Build and Iterate

I learn heavily through implementation. I prefer building a working system, observing where it fails, measuring performance, and improving it iteratively.

05.

Understand the Whole System

My interest goes beyond application code. I enjoy understanding databases, networking, Linux, containers, deployment pipelines, and software operation.

06.

Build for Real Use

I enjoy software that solves real problems for real users. Requirements, cost, deployment, maintainability, and reliability are all core engineering responsibilities.
